Illustrative operating cases

Two cases. Every handover explained.

01Illustrative scenario

Critical-care admission and shift handover

A patient enters ICU and the next shift must receive a complete current care context.

Prepare first
ICU bed, care-team roster, observation definitions, medication workflow and handover policy.
  1. Receive the referral and assign the patient to the unit location.
  2. Document assessments, observations, medication and diagnostic requests.
  3. Review completed results and update the plan with the responsible clinician.
  4. Hand over current treatment and pending work to the next named team.

Acceptance evidence

The receiving team can identify the current plan, medication, observation times and pending requests.

02Illustrative scenario

Device feed interruption during unit transfer

A selected device connection stops supplying observations while the patient moves to another location.

Prepare first
Accepted device mapping, timestamp checks, manual recording procedure and receiving-bed configuration.
  1. Flag stale or missing source observations and verify the last accepted timestamp.
  2. Continue the approved bedside recording and escalation process.
  3. Update the accepted patient, encounter and device-location mapping for the receiving unit.
  4. Reconcile recovered observations and hand over the gap and treatment record.

Acceptance evidence

No recovered observation is attributed to another patient; the data gap and bedside responsibility are documented.

04

Worked operating scenarios

When the normal path changes.

Missing or stale device observation

Verify the device and encounter mapping, check the timestamp and follow the approved bedside recording and interface recovery procedure.

Change in clinical condition

Document reassessment and activate the local clinical escalation process; the platform record supports the team’s clinical decision.

05

Delivery boundary

Know what connects, and what needs approval.

ICU clinical records do not imply every monitor, ventilator or alarm is integrated. Specify device models, supported protocols, responsible clinicians and downtime procedures in the selected scope.

What does MANSOQ Intensive Care cover?

Verified critical-care record, observations, medication and device-connection scope. Monitoring and alarm functionality must be explicitly verified. Receive into the unit: Link the admitted patient to the critical-care location and responsible team. Review the referral, current treatments and outstanding investigations at the initial handover. Observe & document: Keep observations, assessments and care documentation in the encounter. Agree measurement units, recording frequency and local escalation responsibility; automated device feeds require an accepted device connection. Coordinate treatment: Connect orders, medication administration and diagnostic reports to the current plan. Reconcile changes with the bedside team and document the owner of each pending action. Handover & transfer: Review the current record and outstanding responsibilities at each shift or unit transfer. TeleICU review can be added with separately defined remote access, response ownership and device scope.

What setup data does Intensive Care need?

Configure the selected release using the account templates, then validate references and preview before import. Required planning and setup files include Rooms, wards and beds (locations.csv); Doctors & operational clinics (doctors.csv); Scheduling configuration (scheduling.csv); Assets, devices & hardware (assets_devices.csv); Interface specification (interfaces.csv); Clinical workflow configuration (clinical_workflows.csv); Function settings · scheduling closures (product_settings.csv); Acceptance tests (uat_cases.csv). Each file’s field guide identifies whether it imports setup records or documents a migration/decision.
